Deaf Services is excited to host acclaimed US Poet and Visual Storyteller Douglas Ridloff for his only Brisbane event: an unmissable evening performance of sign langauge poetry, followed by a Q&A session. Don't miss your chance to see this world class artist in person. This performance is suitable for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing audiences.

This poem is a metaphor for the Deaf community and their natural language; the bees and flower are personified, magnifying the distinctive and organic nature of the individual and language. When the delicate balance is interrupted, devastation follows.
