Sea World Deaf Community Weekend
Sea World has partnered with Deaf Services to host a weekend celebrating Deaf community and culture.
On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October Sea World is offering members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community FREE ENTRY to the park, as well as 50% off entry for friends and family accompanying them (entry to be purchased on the day of attendance).
Additionally, a number of Sea World’s iconic shows and presentations such as the Affinity Dolphin Presentation and Paw Patrol Live Show will feature Auslan interpreting, provided free of charge by Deaf Services.

When is it?
Deaf Community Weekend runs from 9:30am - 5:00pm on Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October.
How do I get there?
Sea World is located at Seaworld Dr, Main Beach QLD 4217. Please note that there are road closures around Main Beach due to the Gold Coast 600 Car Races. Leave extra time for arrival! Best entry is through Southport and across Sundale Bridge (see map below). To view all road closures, visit the Gold Coast 600 Website.

Deaf Community Weekend is open to everyone.
What discount will I get?
Anyone who is Deaf or hard of hearing will receive FREE entry into Sea World. Anyone accompanying a Deaf or hard of hearing person will receive 50% discount on entry into Sea World. All payments are to be made at the Sea World ticket booth. Any further costs once inside the park (e.g. food purchases) will attract normal prices.
What price will entry be for friends and family of Deaf/hard of hearing people?
Ticket prices for friends and family will be $47.50 Adult and $44.50 Child/Pensioner, based on half the price of the on-the-day One Day Sea World admission. Please consult Sea World's website for any further information.
Where do I go when I get there?
Check in at the Deaf Services information booth just outside the Sea World entrance. All members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community will be given a coloured wristband which will allow you and your companions entry into Sea World.
Do I have to prove I am Deaf or hard of hearing?
No. Just see Deaf Services staff just outside the Sea World entrance. We will issue you with a wristband identifying you as either Deaf and hard of hearing, or as a companion.
I am Deaf/hard of hearing. Is there a limit of how many people can accompany me?
If I attend with someone with a Companion Card, will they get free entry?
Yes, there will be no changes to Companion Card entry.
Can I purchase discounted Sea World entry beforehand?
No, all Deaf Community Weekend entry payments are to be made on the day you attend. For Sea World ticket prices, please visit the Sea World Website.
