Service Development and Information Facilitator
About the Role:
Deaf Services and the Deaf Society is seeking a Service Development and Information Facilitator as part of our recent expansion into the Northern Territory.
As part of the commUNITY team, the successful applicant will work with local Deaf and hard of hearing communities to support their access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) along with a variety of services offered through the Deaf Services/Deaf Society Auslan Hub.
This is exciting Darwin-based opportunity may include relocation and rental support for suitable applicants.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Ability to communicate in Auslan
- Knowledge of Deaf culture and community
- Experience in provision of human services
- Experience in information and referral services
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues
- Effective communication and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in Team environments remotely
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Current Driver’s Licence
