Deaf Services offers a range of Community Auslan classes aimed at introducing basic Auslan conversational skills to participants. The community courses are informal and relaxed, follow the school terms, and run for two hours per week for a total of 8 weeks. Alternatively, in some levels/locations you can enrol in a weekend course which still covers the 16 hours but is held over 2 full days.

There are currently two community courses available:

  • Community Auslan Introduction - designed for those with no previous experience with Auslan (General $200/Concession $165)
  • Community Auslan I - Community Auslan Introduction is a prerequisite for this class (General $200/Concession $165)
